A Short Visual History of Videogames

Sehr schön gemacht, hört leider schon bei der letzten Generation (GameCube, PS2, XBOX) auf.
Abschlussarbeit eines Multimedia-Bachelors (was auch immer das sein mag), hat 4 Monate in Anspruch genommen und ist mit Maya, Adobe After Effects, Premiere, Photoshop und Flash entstanden.

Dieser Kurzfilm gibt nicht nur exakt jeden meiner Morgen wieder, er ist auch lustig und vor allem ziemlich gut gemacht, besonders die technischen Geräte und LED-Anzeigen sind sehr aufwändig und detailgetreu gestaltet.
Alarm stammt von dem koreanischen Animationsteam MESAI, auf deren Seite kann man den Film auch in HD (530MB) herunterladen.

Die Franzosen mal wieder… die scheinen wirklich die besten Schulen zu haben, wenn es um 3D-Animation geht. Die meisten der guten Kurzfilme kommen eben daher.
Der folgende ist von 3 Studenten der Supinfocom Arles.

The story is widely inspired by the life of Earl Manigault, one of the greatest basketball player of his generation who lose everything in drugs. The end of his life was dedicated to avoid children of Harlem having the same story.
So he started the “Walk Away From Drugs” tournament for kids. He died in 1998 from a heart failure.

Rendezvous with Rama is a novel by Arthur C. Clarke first published in 1972. Set in the 22nd century, the story involves a thirty-mile-long cylindrical alien starship that enters Earth’s solar system. The story is told from the point of view of a group of human explorers, who intercept the ship in an attempt to unlock its mysteries.

This novel won both the Hugo and Nebula awards upon its release, and is widely regarded as one of the cornerstones in Clarke’s bibliography. It is considered a science fiction classic, and is particularly seen as a key hard science fiction text.

Mittlerweile arbeitet er an großen Produktionen wie Robots, Horton hears a Who! und Ice Age mit.
